Formal lifesaving training starts at 13 years of age with completion of the the Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC).
Once completed, our new lifesavers are allocated to one of the Trigg Island Beach Patrols, and guided in further on the beach training by our more experienced lifesavers.
At the age of 15 our Youth can complete their Bronze Medallion, and once completed there is a large range of opportunities and training to further advance their lifesaving skills. Many of our Youth discover the skills learned in Bronze and lifesaving training, are well sought after in the work place, and are a distinct advantage in getting the best summer vacation jobs. For additional information regarding the opportunities for training, visit the Lifesaving & Education section of the website.
