The Trigg Island SLSC Masters have finished their 2024 Aussies campaign with impressive results on the national stage, over 2 days of gruelling competition.
In total 21 of our master’s athletes finished on either the podium or in a final, something we know they’ve all worked tirelessly to achieve this year, and are very proud of their efforts.
Trigg Island’s Head of Performance and Coaching, Andrew Mosel, demonstrated his experience and expertise, placing 2nd in the Board Race, and 2nd in the Surf Race, and was a member of the gold medal-winning Board Relay team alongside Luke Upfold and Brad Headling. Another stand-out performance came from reigning national champion, and club legend, Mike Cook, who yet again won the over 75 Surf Race for another year, a feat that is inspiring on so many fronts.
Our master women also put on impressive displays; Lauren Robertson’s podium placed in most of her events, and our relay teams were in the top 5 across most of their races.
At the end of the event, Trigg Island SLSC finished 8th in the points tally, with a total of 118 points
