2025 Fuel to Go & Play WA Surf Rescue Championships

Trigg Island SLSC March Past Teams

It was a big weekend at Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club with the 2025 Fuel to Go & Play WA Surf Rescue Championships and the 2025 Fuel to Go & Play Masters Championships for our Trigg members. On Saturday 15th February, our members competed across all rescue events, and March Past events, collecting a total of 158 points.

Our Trigg Island members collected a total of 27 medals over the event. All 4 of our March Past teams finished on the podium, demonstrating the strength of the March Past program, headed by coaches Norm and Carol Gibbs.
We also had great success in the R&R, where 5 medals (4 gold, 1 Silver) were collected across the age groups.

We now look towards the next few weeks of carnivals, with the Fuel to Go & Play WA Nipper Championships and Beach Championships this coming weekend at Trigg Beach, and the Fuel to Go & Play WA Youth / Open Championships the following weekend at City Beach.
Good luck to all our competitors who will be hitting the beach in Trigg Island colours and representing our club over these events.
