๐๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ฑ ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ – Trigg Island SLSC young gun Olly Browne put on an impressive performance on Saturday over in Queensland, finishing the Coolangatta Gold Youth Challenge in 4th place. Olly spoke highly of his experience, saying – “It was everything I expected it to be, hard, exciting, challenging and most of all fun. I was within touching distance of the podium which has only made me want to train harder for the season ahead. It was great to race against the competitors from the East Coast, and train alongside some of the best athletes in the sport”.
๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ – It’s a bit delayed, but we want to give a huge shout out to our Super coach Andrew Mosel, who over a week ago was recognised as Western Australia’s first qualified performance coach, coach mentor, workshop presenter and performance coach assessor through SLSA. Mozzy ran a coaching workshop for local WA coaches, which was assessed by a representative of SLSA’s Surf Sports Committee, flown in from Queensland, to gain his accreditation.
It’s been a huge week and weekend of our members leveling up, pushing themselves to be their best, and stepping outside of their comfort zones to achieve great things.
With the season only beginning we cannot wait to see what lies ahead.
