Jake Smith Named Captain of Australian Team

Trigg Island Surf Lifesaving Club member, competition captain, and pool rescue captain, Jake Smith, has been named captain of the Australian World Championship Team, competing on the Gold Coast.
Jake is a highly respected leader, and member of the community, who was named the 2023 SLS Australia Athlete of the Year, and this year was named the SLSWA Athlete of the year for an consecutive year.

Jake isn’t the only Trigg Island SLSC member representing Australia at this years Worlds, with Harrison Hynes also competing in the Open National Team. In Addition we have a number of members competing in the Inter-Club events that will also be taking place.
